The Pan-Handle And Thumb Grip
This grip is not commonly used while playing, and used more at the front of the court. When performing a kill shot from your forehand, this grip is most convenient. Some key take aways from the video are:
- Not to use this grip at the back when you are attacking
- Not to get confused with this grip and the base grip
- Make sure that when holding the racket with this grip, your hands are relaxed
- Hold the racket in the centre
- You but pressure with the thumb and index finger
The third and final grip, it is done when the thumb is on the flat side of the racket grip and you push front with your thumb. This is also commonly used at the front of the court and like the others, make sure your hand is loose and snaps only at the point of contact:
- Don't use this grip often at the back
- Don't use your elbow to generate power, but your fingers and forearm
- Short snap like movement
- Should be able to hold your racket with only pinky and thumb
